Clem Lescale
Clem has been in photography since 1962 when he was in High School. He took photo courses in college while working as a photofinisher for GAF and shot Weddings as a Free Lance Photographer. In 1969 he enlisted in the USAF as a Still Photographic Lab specialist and worked in Copy and Ground Photo. During this time he honed his skills shooting award presentations, crash scenes, equipment and medical photography. In 1973 he was discharged and soon joined the Air National Guard. His work in the photo lab there was much the same as what he did on active duty but added more news type photography and aerial work from F-4C and F-15 aircraft. All the while he was also a freelance photographer shooting weddings, advertising work, commercial and industrial work. Clem was a Volunteer Fire Fighter for 17 years and Lieutenant in charge of the photo department. Fire photography posed new challenges, shooting during and after fires in support of arson investigation. In 1996 Clem and his wife both became certified scuba divers, after his third dive he bought an underwater camera. He has a deep passion for this sport and this type of photography. Upon his retirement from the military in 2004 Clem began freelancing again with concentration on support of the Movie industry. This grew from shooting Head Shots and Portraits to now include Set Photography, Underwater Photography and Aerial Photography. During the summer of 2005 Clem worked as 2nd Unit Director for Air and Underwater Photography on the Lion Dance film “Shaman’s Mark”. As the craft of Photography has evolved into the digital format Clem has embraced this revolution. Now working in primarily in Digital Photography, Clem still enjoys just going out and shooting the people, buildings, parks and nature that are a part of this great city.
Mary Gene Lescale
An accomplished photographer in her own rite, Gene has been into cameras as long as Clem. As his wife and life long partner in photography she has supported Clem and learned this art much as he has. Gene is well versed in Wedding, Underwater, Medical, Portrait and Head Shot Photography. She too has bridged into Digital Photography and has become skilled in the use of this new tool.
